Celebrating Achievements 

Dr Mustafa Al-Jarshawi (Added 18/12/2023)

The school Would like to extend it's congratulations to Dr Mustafa Al-Jarshawi, Academic clinical fellow with Plymouth University, currently training in Internal Medicine Training. 

 Dr Mustafa Hussein Ajlan Aljarshawi, Academic Clinical Fellow in Medicine was selected by the royal college of physicians to represent UK trainee doctors in stage 1 and stage 2 Internal Medicine Programmes in the 2024 European School of Internal Medicine (ESIM), happening this Winter in Sweden. He was also awarded the “Myre Sim funding” from the royal college of physicians of Edinburgh to facilitate his participation in this international event, organised by the European Federation of Internal Medicine (EFIM). The EFIM school aims to provide high-quality medical education for young internists from their member societies and to establish cultural and social links between residents training in Internal Medicine from across Europe. Around 50 young internists are selected across Europe each year and sponsored by their national societies to attend, representing around 25 countries.

 In December 2023, The RCPE announced Dr Mustafa Hussein Ajlan is the winner of Myre Sim bursary to attend the 2024 EFIM winter school. Dr Aljarshawi is an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Plymouth, IMT doctor at the University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust and Honorary Clinical Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London. He is also an Associate Editor for the College Journal.”
